CS Machogu issues directives on Junior learners transition; There has been a concern on whether the grade six learners will transition to secondary or domicile in primary schools.
Speaking at Kisumu girls on Tuesday, November 17, the CS explained that the government would issue the directives after receiving the update from the task force reviewing the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
He said,”What he will be giving will be information that has been collected from people all over the country.”
“I want to request the parents and teachers to be patient because as we open the school by January 23, our young ones will know whether they will be domiciled in primary or secondary schools ” he added.
He further stated that the ministry of education is working with other ministries such as ICT and the authorities, to ensure smooth examination period and transition in general.
He stated,”My colleagues in the Cabinet will be following the updates. We want to assure Kenyans that this process will not be compromised, everything will be credible,”
“We have sent out examinations to all the 493 examination centres and storage facilities. This is an exercise where the entire government is involved,” he added.
