DP Gachagua issues over 6000 title deeds in Narok.
The second in command, DP Gachagua issues over 6000 title deeds in Naikarra ward, Narok west constituency.
Addressing the media, the deputy president stated the issuance of these title deeds is one of the ways in which they are increasing the value of land in Kenya.
He highlighted that this step is a long term investment to both the owners and the country in enhancing development.
He stated,”Issuance of title deeds is one of the surest ways of increasing the value of land and spurring long-term investment and sustainable development.”
“A title deed is also crucial in ending conflicts on ownership, even in areas where land has been on communal holding; it proves ownership and guarantees security,” he added.
Hon. Gachagua recognized the Nomadic way of life, among the people of Narok and the positive impact the title deeds will bring.
He stated,”It was a milestone issuing more than 6,000 title deeds to the residents of Naikarra Ward in Narok West Constituency today.”
”For the local community, whose way of life has been majorly nomadic, they open a new chapter of developing their land besides diversifying from pastoralism to other high-value and more stable socio-economic activities. This is also in inheritance for the family and generations of those who received the titles today. They should, therefore, be secured; I urged them not to sell the land,” he added.
Notably, he expressed that this is also part of their inclusivity agenda in bottom up administration.
He stated,”This development will progressively contribute to the achievement of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda under the Kenya Kwanza Plan. Nobody will be Left Behind in the Kenya We Want.”
