Follow petition from home police to Kenyans.
The authorities have warned Kenyans to follow petition from home.
The supreme court of Kenya is expected to render its verdict regarding the presidential petition.
The police said,”We wish to advice to advice the general public to avoid gathering at the Supreme Court during the ruling, or congregating in public gatherings but follow the proceedings from the comfort of their homes.”

The acting inspector general also stated that the roads to supreme court of Kenya will not be accessed by the public.
Authorities stated,” Traffic police officers shall be deployed adequately to direct traffic around the court facility.”
The public is encouraged to remain calm and vigilant.
The police have also urged Kenyans to remain wherever they live. They should not be intimidated or fear for their lives because authorities have been deployed everywhere.
The police stated,” We have taken all the necessary steps and measures to enhance security in all parts of the country, including all critical infrastructure. The public should not therefore panic and migrate from their homes or ordinary places of residence in fear and anticipation of chaos. Finally, we further appeal to the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with the law enforcement and other security agencies.”
Kenyans are also encouraged to report any suspicious activities that will seem to threaten their lives.
“by reporting any suspicious activities within their areas. Such information may be shared in confidence to any police officer, at a police station or through our toll- free number 911, 112, 999.” Police stated.
The authorities further congratulated the efforts by Kenyans to maintain peace.
They stated,” The Country held the the general Elections on the 9th August 2022. Events leading to, during and after the elections. The national police service therefore remain grateful to all peace loving Kenyans and applauds them for their conduct during the period.”
