Gang raids police station escapes with guns and ammunition- Homa bay.
Shock as Gang raids police station in Homa bay county. The incident apparently happened on Wednesday night.
They managed to get away with three G3 guns, one AK47 rifle and 100 rounds of ammunition.
Speaking regarding the incident, was the area member of parliament, Millie Odhiambo stating that incidents of crime have surged in the area.
She said,” It is worrisome that thieves can steal from a police armoury. This means citizens can no longer be safe. Indeed the alarming and increased incidents of violence in Suba North must be dealt with urgently.”
She however, called on the police, to be vigilant and professional in their search for the stolen goods.
She said,” I am nonetheless calling on the police not to victimize innocent people as they often do in the search for the real culprits.”
Officers who were on duty when the armory was raided stated that, they discovered they had lost the key after the guns have been stolen.
