Guard injured in a bank robbery at equity bank in Nairobi West.
Guard injured in a bank robbery that occured this afternoon, October, 11 at Equity bank, Nairobi west.
The details of the incident are still scanty but it is reported that the attacker who stabbed the guard and two customers at the bank was shot dead by police.
Police reported that he had attempted to grab cash that was being delivered by a G4S personnel at the bank on Ghandi avenue.
As of now, the Nairobi West , Equity branch has been closed as police continue with the investigations into the attempted break in.
“Kindly note that we had a distress incident today morning at our Nairobi West Branch where an armed person attempted to gain access into the banking hall.
“Security agents led by local authorities are currently on site investigating the incident and the branch has been temporarily closed,” read the statement.
