It was not fair to leave Babu Owino out- Backlash in the seven member list released by Raila in the Bipartisan talks.
Yesterday, Azimio la umoja leader, Raila Odinga unveiled a seven member list, of legislators that will be present during the parliamentary review or Bipartisan dialogue.
However, people have questioned why Raila Odinga left out his Die hard, Embakasi east Member of parliament, Babu Owino.
Babu Owino in a statement, argued that Raila odinga could have also considered the youth since the have been the punching bag in the demonstrations.
He argued that the bipartisan talks could have been more effective if Raila was considerate enough, to have Youths represented among the committee.
He stated,” A team has been set up to Represent Azimio in the Bipartisan talks.I wish them well. However, it would have been more effective and efficient if a youth was part of the team because it’s the youth who still at the forefront of the struggle.”
Sharing the same sentiments, Was the former Nairobi governor, Mbuvi Sonko who stated that Raila could not have left out Babu Owino.
Sonko argued that Babu Owino is the strongest Raila Die hard, who deserved a seat at the committee handpicked by Raila Odinga.
Sonko stated,” It was not fair to leave Babu Owino out of the committee the way he has braced teargas to support you in protests. Be loyal Baba.”
On the same issue was Robert Alai, Kileleshwa MCA who stated that the team chosen by Raila, might not work things out as they expect.
He stated,”It’s a team which might not work well for us. MCAs drove the resistance against impunity. MPs sold us off and were even bought in the National Assembly and Senate.”
