Kimani Ichungwah threatens to report Raila to Hague, gives reasons why.
Kikuyu member of parliament, Kimani Ichungwah threatens to report Raila to Hague. Speaking at his Constituency, Ichungwah stated that Raila is using tricks to try and maneuver his way to the government.
Ichungwah stated that in the Kenya Kwanza’s Parliamentary Group meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 11, he will propose, Raila’s name reported to ICC for them to keep watch on him.
He stated,”He is threatening that if we don’t agree to the National Accord proposal, he will continue with the mass action. We want to tell Raila that we don’t have any problems with you conducting mass demonstrations. The only caveat is you do it peacefully.”
“I will propose an agenda in Parliament, that we write to ICC to take measures to ensure that Raila Odinga and his sponsors do not slide our country back into anarchy,” he added.
The lawmaker further rejected the National Accord route proposed by Raila, citing that the opposition leader is promoting his own selfish interests for his own selfish gains.
Ichungwah expressed,”We are telling Raila Odinga, your system of looting, anarchy to blackmail the country will come to an end, and not next year, not after the next elections, it will come to an end this year.”
Raila in a speech on 4th April, threatened to take it back to the streets saying the Parliament review will not work for him.
Raila stated,”We will have our members of parliament negotiating with their members of parliament, but we will also have a team to which the members will be reporting to. There will be no handshake, but an engagement in Parliament. Whatever can be resolved will be resolved.”
