KUCCPS announces courses for 2022 A students, opening of application portal.
Kenya universities and colleges central placement service, KUCCPS announces courses for 2022 A students and opening of the application portal.
Speaking at Kirinyaga university’s career day, KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mercy Wahome, outlined that Grade A students will be given top priority in application of any course.
She said,”Students who got A and A minus can sit for any program. They can choose any course under the sciences and arts category. They can do, you know, basically everything.”
While A students are at an advantage, those who scored C+, B minus, B plain and B+ will be picked according to their cluster points.
Cluster points will be able to determine if a certain student is eligible to pursue a certain course in a particular tertiary institution.
She explained that the portal is not yet open but the arrangements are underway, comparing to past years where students could have applied for courses already.
She stated,”When everything will be ready, all stakeholders will be notified.”
Wahome spoke this, a week after KUCCPS announced that only students who sat for 2022 national examinations, will be eligible to apply for courses.
KUCCPS stated,”Only the candidates who sat for their KCSE the year preceding the selection are eligible for the online degree application. You were supposed to apply for a degree programme last year when we opened the portal for applications.”
