Let him give us a break and prepare for 2027- Ruto tells off Raila.
While speaking at his tour in Kisii county, President Ruto urged opposition leader, Raila Odinga to stop the protests that he is holding in the country.
He stated that this demonstrations and rallies are just a destruction, to prevent Kenyans to see the kind of developments he has in store for them.
He implored the former premier to give him time, to deliver his manifesto and other promises hr made to Kenyans during the campaigns such as improving living standards, giving the youths jobs, instead of dragging Kenyans to the streets.
He stated,”We only want to him to end his protests as we commit ourselves fully to developing this nation.”
“Let him give us a break, all we want is to change livelihoods. We want to give these youth jobs and Kenyans hope for a better life,” he added
While in Kisii, the head of stated commissioned the Sh2.5 billion water project in Kegati, Nyayo Chache, Kisii which was funded by the German Bank for Development (KFW).
The German bank for development, has already injectedan additional Sh200m towards piping and connectivity around the area, the government will add Sh300 million purposely for the project.
This water project, is aimed at supplying water to thousands of residents within the Kisii Municipality.
He further revealed that once an investor is found, he will commission the construction of the Bonyunyu dam project, which needs approximately Sh15 billion to complete.
He also expressed his joy saying infrastructural projects are to start in the area.
He stated,” I am happy to report that we have gotten Sh10 billion which would help us do them.”
He also Launched the upgrading to bitumen standard of Gekano-Rigoma-Amabuko, Ngenyi-Manga-Motemumwamu, Gekano-Girango and Gekano-Muturmesi-Birongo roads, Kisii County.
The head of state was accompanied by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu and Governor Simba Arati, former Kisii Governor James Ongwae and his former deputy, now CAS Foreign Affairs, Joash Maangi and Former Woman Rep.
