Maize flour prices would have lowered if not for Raila, a statement that the deputy president elect expressed.
Today marked the first Thursday that mandates all governors elect to be sworn in. Speaking at the even in Nyeri County, President elect Gachagua stated that, Maize flour prices would have lowered if not for Raila.
The statement he based on the presidential petition that the Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila Odinga filed on monday, after declaring the results null and void.

Gachagua stated,”If it was not for Raila who went to the supreme court to nullify our win, we would have lowered maize flour prices.”
The president elect further expressed if it were for delays by their opponents they manifesto would have started working.
Among the big four agenda of the Kenya kwanza coalition, was to reduce the cost of living of the common mwananchi.
This they stated as the bottom up economy. Their motto being the “hustlers nation”
This included the drop of fertilizer price from ksh.7000 to the promised ksh.2500.
Hon. Gachagua went ahead to thank God for being elected as the deputy president.
He also revealed the kind of harassment he underwent. He recalled how the authorities were bribed to accuse him falsely so that he can be arrested.
He stated,”Police were summoned and commanded to wrongfully accuse so I can rot in Kamiti prison. Thank God because today I am the deputy president.”
Gachagua further expressed his gratitude to the people of Nyeri for voting in the kenya kwanza coalition.
He stated,”I lack words to express how much your actions mean to me. You heeded my request to vote-in UDA candidates may God bless you.
Gachagua also said that he spoke to the outgoing president about his allies who lied to him during the campaigns and that Mt. Kenya had a promise to Uhuru
He stated,”I went to my friend Uhuru Kenyatta and told him he was being lied to by those around him. I reminded him that Mt. Kenya has a promise to Ruto.”
