More drinks bearing counterfeit stamps have been recovered in the tax evasion schemes crackdown.
The directorate of criminal investigations has reported that more drinks bearing counterfeit stamps have been captured.
The crackdown happen in Makueni county, where the sleuths have been targeting traders who are evading the policy of paying taxes for the businesses.
DCI reported,”consignment of alcoholic drinks bearing fake KRA stamps have been recovered in Makueni county, in the ongoing government crackdown targeting traders engaging in tax evasion schemes.”
The well executed raid, led to recovery of over 3,000 bottles, that has contain fake kenya revenue authority stamps on them.
DCI stated,”a raid conducted by detectives yesterday at a store in Kikima market, over 3,000 bottles of alcoholic drinks bearing fake KRA stamps were recovered and confiscated.”
The place belonging to one Daniel Musau, was flooded with official from intelligence and the revenue authority who discovered his scheme.
“raid followed intelligence led investigations by a joint team of detectives and KRA officials who raided the premises belonging to one Daniel Musau,” DCI reported.
