Azimio la umoja principal, Raila makes changes to the state house storm in; Speaking at a press release today, Raila stated that he will send delegates to Ruto.
He highlighted that Azimio will send a delegation to deliver a message to President William Ruto to State House as protests continue in Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).
He added that anyone who supports their course but can’t make it to Nairobi, will present a memoranda to their respective national government offices across the 47 counties
He stated,”We shall send some people to give Ruto our message. State House is a public place (despite being protected), and if they allow our delegates to enter, so be it. If they don’t, they will leave the message at the door.”
“State House is a public property, the coalition will select a delegation of people who will represent the coalition at State House,” he added.
Raila further clarified that his coalition had secured a police permit to hold the demonstration in compliance with the law.
When asked what will be the next course of action after monday, Raila stated that the opposition demands will stand until they are met.
He stated,” After monday we will see. We first want to let the universe that something is happening in Kenya.”
Raila further clarified that he is not interested in any dialogue or truce with the President as many Kenyans have suggested.
