In a letter from the Roots party on behalf of the roots party presidential candidate, Justina Wamae faces a disciplinary notice from Roots party.
The letter indicated that the deputy presidential candidate committed disciplinary acts therefore summoning her presence.
It stated,” We have been instructed by the party leader, Goerge Wajackoyah, with respect to your position as the running mate to the just concluded general elections, and your utterances both in mainstream media and social media.”
The letter went ahead to state a list of acts that Justina Wamae did , that are contrary to the party’s rules and the party would like to question her on the same.
It stated,”You have continously and maliciously misrepresented position of the party and that of the party leader having blocked him and other party leaders.
The letter further indicated that Justina Wamae has not bothered to be fully present in the party’s agenda and even adhere to the constitution of the party regardless of her two months stay.
It stated,” you have only been in the party for less than two(2) months and not bothered to pursue the party’s constitution and the party’s communication guidelines.”
The letter further reprimanded her on claiming that the party leader, Goerge Wajackoyah was supporting the Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila Odinga.
In a statement on 3rd August she said,” it is true that my principal and party leader is supporting Azimio but we have not discussed that as a party, we have not agreed, neither have i been consulted.”
The letter also questioned her on why she disparaged the party by sending a congratulatory message to the president elect.
A tweet she stated,” It had taken me four days, listening to arguments on all quotas, on whether the election was free, fair and transparent and i can confidently say that the election was transparent because polling agents who are supreme in this process would have raised an alarm.”
Wamae is also being reprimanded for associating with opponents and advocating for their ideologies.
