Ruto talked to Musalia about me joining UDA- Malala reveals details of his sudden switch up.
United democratic alliance secretary general, Cleophas Malala has talked about the meeting between President Ruto and prime cabinet secretary, Musalia Mudavadi, that saw him joining UDA.
While speaking to NTV, Malala stated that Musalia was consulted before he officially decamped from Amani national congress party to UDA.
He stated,”President William Ruto talked to Musalia about me joining UDA. Musalia then allowed me to switch.”
He also highlighted his very close relationship with Musalia Mudavadi and he could not just go behind his back and join UDA.
He said,”Mudavadi is my political father and I could not have done it without his blessings.”
“He told me to go and support the President and make UDA stronger,” he added.
He further talked of his plan to make the united democratic Alliance party stronger. Last week he suggested that other parties with smaller population, may need to fold and join UDA.
He stated,”We were elected so as to fulfil our manifesto. We can only achieve this if there is political stability which can be brought by having a single party at the Kenya kwanza coalition.”
He called out on the national assembly speaker, Moses Wetangula, to leave Ford Kenya because he is now a state officer. He also called upon Timamy to dissolve ANC.
He stated,”Wetangula should resign as the leader of Ford Kenya and allow us to engage the next party leader on matters of dissolution.”
“State officers are not allowed to be party leaders and that is why I am also engaging Lamu Governor Issa Timamy to dissolve ANC instead of Musalia Mudavadi,” he added.
