Senate approves the Equalization Fund Appropriation Bill, 2023- Cherargei.
Taking it to his social media, Nandi senator expressed his joy the the Senate approves the Equalization Fund Appropriation Bill, 2023.
He stated that his county will benefit from the fund in basic sectors such as health care, safe water and so much more in store for the community.
He wrote,”Today, the Senate approved the Equalization Fund Appropriation Bill, 2023. Nandi County will receive Ksh. 157,016,515 for the development expenses including provision of basic services such as Water, roads, health facilities and Electricity.”

3.songhor/soba ward ..kshs. 108,851,992

The senator further highlighted that the main aim of appropriation fund is bring quality services to the vulnerable and marginalized.
He stated,”The Bill aims to provide payments out of the Equalization Fund for the financial year 2022/23. The Equalization fund is established under Article 204(1) of the Constitution to facilitate the provision of basic services to marginalized areas to bring the quality of those services in those areas to the level enjoyed by the rest of the nation.”
His news were warmly welcomed by his area residents who stated that they are seeing matters development coming to the backyard.
