US gov’t clarifies revoking Visas for DP Gachagua, Kuria, Nyoro and Ichungwah.
Reports have been going round that Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has revoked United states visas belonging to Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro and Kikuyu member of Parliament, Kimani Ichungwa.
This comes after rumors went round that this Kenya kwanza allies had sponsored the Northlands ranch.
The fake statement read,”These visa revocations demonstrate that the United States will promote accountability not only for regime leaders, but also for officials who enable the regime’s assaults on democracy and human rights.”
However, the US gov’t clarifies revoking visas, saying that the statement going round is fake.
United states Embassy Nairobi Spokesman Andrew Veveiros refuted the claims and termed it as fake. He advised Kenyans to ignore it.
He stated,“I can confirm that the report doing rounds is fake as there has been no such communication from the United States Government.”
