Whether it was Raila or Ruto, You can not fix a country in a day- Tabitha Karanja.
Nakuru county senator Tabitha Karanja has come out to implore Kenyans to give president Ruto a chance to revive the country.
In her interview at Jeff Koinange live( JKL) the senator highlighted that irregardless of who became the president, it takes time to put things in order.
Her interview happened hours after the opposition leader, Raila Odinga threatened to lead a mass action in the next 14 days if the government does not lower the cost of living.
Hon. Tabitha stated,”We need to give this government time so that we can deliver. I know this because as an employer if you give somebody an opportunity to give excuses (They will not deliver). After two years, President Ruto will say we disturbed him. He will also say you called people and rallied them instead of letting people work.”
“Whether it was Raila or Ruto becoming a President, you can not fix a country in a day. You will need some time,” she stated.
Tabitha further stated that the opposition needs to let Ruto work and ask questions after the 5 years.
She stated,“Why don’t you give him time so that after 5 years, you will ask him? But now, he will have excuses to give us.”
On the other hand, president Ruto reiterated that his government will not be blackmailed or intimidated, he is there to work for Kenyans
He stated,” I want to tell them to give us time to clean up Nairobi city, to eradicate sewage and litter from Nairobi river, and show them how the city should look like. We want to talk about the affairs of our citizens at the moment and in the near future until that time comes.”
