Supreme court throws out Moses Kuria’s petition
The supreme court throws out Moses Kuria’s petition and other two petitions, including William Ruto’s plea of preventing the law society of Kenya(LSK) from being part of the presidential petition.
Moses Kuria , had filed a petition urging the supreme court of Kenya to ignore Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila Odinga’s claims of electoral malpractices.
The supreme court also rejected the Agano party leader, Waihiga Mwaure’s request of want to join the presidential petition.
The apex court further rejected a petition to bar individual independent electoral and boundaries commissioners from the presidential petition.
The court however allowed John Walubengo, Dr. Joseph Sevilla and Martin Mirero seeking leave to be joined in the petition as amici curiae.
Also allowed was the application to admit on record the replying affidavits the four independent electoral and boundaries commission officials; Juliane Cherera, Justus Nyangaya, Francis Wanderi and Irene Masit.
