Disquiet over DP Gachagua’s remarks of who is entitled to government shares.
Yesterday, Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua remarked that the government is a company that benefits those with more shares.
He said,” This government is like a company guaranteed by shares. There are those with many shares and those with few shares. Therefore those who voted for us and supported us must enjoy the benefits first.”
” Let the president work. They can continue demonstrating but we will remain focused on serving our people. Our interest is improving their lives.”
However, Disquiet over DP Gachagua’s remarks, has flooded the internet, with netizens asking what the statement actually meant.
Karen wrote,”The Kenya Kwanza government through its Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has released a public statement declaring that President William Ruto will NEVER develop regions that didn’t vote for UDA in the last General election.”
Maina wrote,”The government is not a private entity but a public resources funded by Kenyans taxes. DP Gachagua and Ruto, you are just caretakers.”
Angel expressed,”But who advises DP Gachagua ? How can you say that the government with ONLY serve those who elected you while we’re all paying taxes equally.”
