The enemy is not Raila, the enemy is the people- Ngunyi.
While reacting to a video, of multitudes at Kamukunji grounds, during the Saba Saba rally, Political analyst, Mutahi Ngunyi warned president Ruto.
The multitude had braved tear gas and water cannons and matched on towards Central Park, the final destination where Raila had been expected to deliver a final address
He outlined that Azimio la umoja leader should not be seen as the enemy of Kenya but president Ruto should br scared of the multitudes heeding to his call for demonstrations.
Ngunyi stated,”Dear Ruto: This picture scared me. It is a ground swell. You cannot buy these multitudes. And you can kill the messenger, but not the messageThe enemy is not Raila. The enemy is the People. These people have nothing to lose except their chains. Don’t be casual.”
The political analyst, urged president Ruto not to ignore this small demonstrations, fearing that revolutions are started this same way
He stated,”Revolutions are started in small instalments -Little by Little. Then they acquire a life of their own. Today, France is burning. In 1789, when the French people asked the Oligarchs to drop the price of bread, they told them: “…If you can not eat bread, eat cake,” Dear Ruto.”
Opposition leader, Raila Odinga has vowed to remove President Ruto from his seat. He highlighted that he will collect 10 million signatures that will facilitate the removal.
He further threatened that if president Ruto does not give in to their demands, then he will form his own electoral commission.
