Details of Ruto’s Night Meeting With Raila’s Men.
On Tuesday night, President Ruto held a meeting with members of parliament from the Nyanza region at State House, Nairobi.
The meeting was held secrecy since no single picture being released by State House, as has always been the norm.
The lawmakers first met at National Assembly’s leader Junet Mohammed’s office in Parliament before leaving in a long convoy to State House.
According to legislators who attended the meeting, it was a follow-up of some of the development projects the President had promised the region.
During his tour in nyanza, Ruto promised the construction of some roads for instance the Muhoroni–Mamboleo and of Awasi-Katito roads.
The leaders also asked for the consideration of the multi-billion Koru-Soin dam during the Kisumu State Lodge meeting in August.
Other projects presented during the Kisumu meeting included the completion of the Kisian-Usenge-Osieko road, tarmacking of the Odongo-Uhanya road and Bondo-Liahanda road.
This was the first time the head of state was hosting MPs from the region at the State House since the formation of the broad-based government that roped in members from the opposition.
